LARGE SPACIOUS QUALITY BOAT

The MV Miss Rankin comfortably accommodates 12 guests and 6 crew. This 29m (100ft) steel hulled multi-purpose vessel underwent an extensive refit in 2024 and has AMSA Survey 2B. Based in Cairns and with a 4,000 nautical mile range, it can travel further and stay out longer.

From research charters and mother shipping across the Great Barrier Reef, to long range expeditions to remote destinations such as the Gulf of Carpentaria, Weipa and the Western Cape, the Torres Strait Islands, and Papua New Guinea.

We provide a flexible boat charter service, customised to meet the specific needs of every client. With an unrivalled wealth of experience working in remote destinations and in sometimes difficult conditions, our expert team plans, conducts and completes all charters with a focus on safety, efficiency and experience.

Previously based in Madang, Papua New Guinea, the owners and MV Miss Rankin relocated to Cairns, Queensland, Australia in 2024.

Under the friendly and professional guidance of Tony Collins SAMS successfully completed several deep-sea surveys offshore from Papua New Guinea onboard the MV Miss Rankin. Working in a remote region with limited equipment was a challenge but Tony and the team provided an incredible service ensuring our project achieved all its aims. The MV Miss Rankin is very well appointed with comfortable cabins and a highly professional crew. The aft deck space is extensive and more than enough for marine sediment or biological sampling, oceanographic observations even for diving and fishing.
